Overview
Naadam is a personal typography research project inspired by Mongolia’s national festival and the traditional architectural forms of the Bogd Khan Winter Palace Museum. The project explores how the structure, rooflines, and geometry of Mongolian temples and palace gates can be translated into letterforms while preserving a strong cultural identity through a contemporary visual language. Developed as a personal exploration and research-driven project, the typography was later used in Naadam greeting visuals, social media posts, and branded content for companies I collaborated with at the time. Rather than directly replicating traditional elements, the project reinterprets them into a modern graphic system that balances cultural heritage with contemporary design aesthetics.
